According to the National Energy Balance, published in 2019, residential, public, and commercial buildings consume about 50% of the electricity in Brazil, in addition to being responsible for one-third of the global emissions of greenhouse gases.
To reduce electricity costs, protect the ozone layer and take care of the environment, buildings focused on energy efficiency and sustainability are considered a priority in today’s architecture. Through processes such as BIM, we can analyze the consumption of buildings and present estimates on the use of energy still in the initial stages of each project.
