I graduated in Architecture and Urbanism in 2008 from Mackenzie University and started my career working as a designer in design offices.
Still during my academic career, between 2007 and 2008 I started my studies in sustainable architecture, turning my attention to the LEED certification process, which is very present in the new commercial buildings of Faria Lima and Berrini.
In 2010 I got my first USGBC credential from LEED Green Associate, in the same year I founded Green Studio.
Since then, I have served as CEO of Green Studio.
I did postgraduate / MBA in Strategic and Economic Project Management at FGV Management, graduating in 2012.
Between 2012 and 2014 I specialized in the PMI methodology and achieved my Project Management Professional (PMP) professional credential.
In 2016 I formed a partnership with a British company BEST in the energy area, for the installation of energy monitoring equipment and software in buildings.
In 2017 I earned my USGBC professional LEED AP Building Design + Construction credential.
In 2018 I was approved by the Low Carbon Business Action in Brazil, being financed by the European Union to encourage investment by Brazilian and European companies.
In 2019 I received an international award from the Latin America Quality Institute for Total Quality and Leadership. In the same year I received another international award from the Latin American Business Awards 2019 – Best Company for Sustainable Works and Project Management
In 2021 I received an award from BUILD Architecture 2021 – Best logistic management company – São Paulo
In 2022 I received an award from the Global Awards 22 – Logistic management company of the Year | Brazil
Today I consider myself a senior project manager specializing in “triple A” industrial/logistical construction, an expert in LEED certification, energy management, and sustainable solutions.
With 15 years of experience, and working on several logistical and industrial projects, Marcus Thomé managed more than 5.750 million m2 of developed area with quality and sustainability, having worked for the main players in the national and international market. Today he is considered one of the most experienced managers in Brazil.
Between 2016 and 2021, he led the certification of 7 LEED® Gold-Core and Shell buildings for the American giant Prologis, and these were the first speculative warehouse projects in the market to obtain such certification in Brazil. Thus, adding 256,039.41 m2 of certified area for leasing to the client’s portfolio.
It achieved the first LEED® Silver-OM EB for Prologis in the logistics condominium Cajamar 2. Also for Prologis, in 2023 it achieved a double LEED® Gold-OM EB in the logistics condominiums of Castelo 46 and Caxias.
Between 2020 and 2022, he led the certification of 7 LEED® Platinum-Core and Shell warehouses, and 1 LEED® Silver-Core and Shell warehouse. Adding 392,000 m2 to our portfolio.
He is currently involved in the management of more than 22 large logistics projects in the State of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia and Amazonas.
His professional experience covers business management, being the main person responsible for running the Green Studio since its formation in Nov/2010 until the present moment. Playing a key role in consolidating the company as one of the main references in the logistics works management market.
With proven technical knowledge in Project / Works management methodologies, LEED® certification process, Compliance, PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge), ASHREA, ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System, ISO 50.001-Energy Management, NBR, among others other norms, Marcus Thomé has helped developers in the logistics market to always achieve their goals with sustainability and success.
